TRADITIONS OF ASIAGO AND THE PLATEAU

Asiago and the 7 Municipalities of the Plateau are rich in traditions, some of which have become legends, while others are still alive and practiced by the local population.

Here are some examples of the old customs: the Grande Rogazione (the “Great Rogation”), that the local people call the “Tour Around the World”; Schella Marz, or the “Call of Spring”; and the Day of Saint Mark, or Sagra dei Cuchi (the “Festival of ‘Cuchi’”) celebrated in Canove.

The local population actively celebrates these traditions, and this shows how the past is very important for the present.
